A saúde digital é pauta aquecida no meio acadêmico, assistencial e econômico. No nível global, o setor arrecadou US$ 10,3 bilhões no primeiro semestre de 2022 e só no Brasil existem hoje 1.023 healthtechs no mercado. Essa ênfase se deve às necessidades impulsionadas pela pandemia de COVID-19, acompanhadas, no nível local, pela nova Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), pelas tratativas para a expansão e normatização da telessaúde e pela perspectiva da chegada do 5G.
